It’s hard to explain to someone who has never been through it. All of it. The way your body and your mind just shut down and you are forced to distance yourself from those you love most, and who love you most. It’s too complicated to put into words, but when you look into the eyes of someone who has faced the same darkness you have, you don’t need to say anything. You understand everything inside them with just one glance.
